Everything in Gazette Builder begins with an Entry.
Entries represent the things in your world, while Entry Types define what kind of things they are. Use the built-in types or create your own to match the structure of your setting.

Semantic References
Connect one Entry to another without hard-coding WordPress URLs.
Readable references such as [[Syrtis Major]] can resolve automatically when the matching Entry exists, and unresolved references can remain in place until their target is created later.

Semantic Relationships
Go beyond simple links by defining how Entries are connected.
Relationships such as Located In, Member of, or Operated By use a controlled vocabulary and can be presented both on the source Entry and as automatically generated related-content sections on the target Entry.

Index-enabled Entry Types can automatically produce public listings for Locations, Characters, Organizations, Events, Documents, or any custom Entry Type you create.

Gazette Builder can generate horizontal or vertical timelines filtered by Entry Type and date range, with optional summaries and links back to the full Entries.
Story Support
Some material is meant to be explored freely. Other material works better in a deliberate sequence.
Entries sharing a Story ID and Sequence Position can form guided reading sequences with landing pages, Continue and Restart controls, release-aware progression, and protection against unavailable future steps.

Import Markdown Entries, metadata, semantic references, relationships, Story information, timeline values, and optional media from a packaged ZIP file. Preview and validation identify problems before content is created.
Publication & Release Controls
Control when worldbuilding becomes visible without changing its internal structure.
Entries can remain drafts, publish immediately, or exist as published content that is held back until a future Release Date. Story sequences and other Gazette Builder views respect those release rules automatically.

Reader Progress
Sequential Stories can remember where a reader left off without requiring an account.
Progress is stored in the reader’s browser and is used only for Story navigation, allowing readers to Continue or Restart while ordinary Gazette browsing remains unaffected.
