is dangerous. Most seasoned travelers know that if you are going to pursue travel by ship,
you should always check for the blue flag of safe conduct before boarding a ship. Ships
active in honest trade solicit the transport of travelers by displaying a blue flag that
guarantees the passenger's safety to their destination. Very few ships carry the guarantee, but those that do are beyond reproach and it is well known that should they violate this trust, disastrous consequences await the crew and ship who have violated the trust. In addition, ships who falsely fly an imitation flag will similarly be dealt with, while not entirely destructive, well enough that all aboard feel and know that the warning has been given and directed at them. |
