The Dour Princess Inn

Description:

The history of the inn indicates that a sad tale may mark its being christened "The Dour Princess". Once long ago, two people fell in love, the man, a strapping young fellow, strong and handsome, and a young woman, beautiful and shapely. Once married, they had a beautiful daughter, who was always sad. Her father, called her "princess", and in building this inn, christened it in honor of his dour young girl. An accident took both parents from the young girl and she was taken by an aunt to raise. The inn was sold and as those things go, the name stuck and never was changed.

The inn is a small squat single story building with a large front room and several alcoves off of the main room that in turn lead to separate rooms for the guests. The owner's rooms are off the back side of the kitchen which is situated in the back right-hand corner of the front room. The inn itself has three alcoves, each of which has 4 rooms that are available for rent.

Proprietor:

Gilgamesh Vilganov, the current owner, cares not about the history of the inn, nor the name, but does apply himself to the diligent collection of monies associated with the sale of drinks, food and rooms to his customers. He himself, living in almost poverty state, is said to spend very little of his earnings.

Gilgamesh is a dark somber figure, with a bald palate, and dark hair around the edges, that end in large sideburns on his cheeks. He also has a very hawk-like nose, that is long and almost pointy. His small beady eyes are almost rat-like.
