The Brown Bear's Den

Description:

More than 500 years ago, dwarven miners came to this spot and began a digging operation intent on discovering gems or other valuables. When winter came, they packed their equipment and returned home. In the spring, they once again returned. Upon entering their mine, they discovered, much to their dismay that a mother bear and her cubs had taken over. Rather than kill her, they simply moved on to a new location. The cavern they left behind was eventually reclaimed by humans, and converted to a nice cozy inn which adopted the bear name from its colorful beginnings.

The cavern itself is wide enough that it was suitable for a hall with rooms down either side. When completed, it had a set of 15 rooms and a great hall at the front which was quickly developed into the busiest area of the inn, offering fine dining and drinking to thirsty miners in the local area.

Proprietor:

Jimmy Galahad, the owner, a fine strapping young lad in his late 20's, is a careful and contentious host. His father before him owned the inn and when he was accidentally killed, Jimmy naturally took over.

Jimmy's mom, Arabel Galahad, also helps in the inn, her main job is cook and she treats all the guests as if they were her very own, serving heaping helpings of foods that tend to stick to one's ribs.
