Victor's Margaretta Haven

Description:

A fine establishment, stucco walls, painted a light cream color, giving it a bright and airy look to it. The doorways are arched passages with large wooden and forged metal. The windows, smaller versions of the doorways, containing metal bars much like a jail.

The 10 rooms for rent are located out back, around a patio with a gurgling fountain in the middle. Excess water runoff trickles down into a drain on one side of the fountain area. The fountain when viewed appears to be supplied by a spring that is constantly over-flowing the fountain such that a constant stream of water runs out and down the drain.

Tables during the day are bare and uninviting. At around 4:30, tablecloths in gay checkered patterns are placed on the tables along with small lanterns and the place seems to come alive with music provided by local bands, which varies from night to night.

Proprietor:

The owner/operator is Victor Magatta, a small, black-haired, gently plumping man who seems to have cornered the market on hair-oil, his being slicked back over his roundish head.

He runs a clean business and is of even temper. On occasion, his hidden temper can be witnessed as he scolds a particularly lazy dishwasher or careless waitress.
