Moon Holidays

Metaphaze has 2 moons.  The first has a 14 day orbit, the second has a 32 day orbit.  This means that the time of full moons and no moon varies for each month and throughout the year.  If we assume that the moon is full every 7th day for the first moon and every 16th day for the second, to calculate when each moon is full is a matter of ...

Posh Moon - celebrates the nights where both moons show full at the same time.   These celebrations take place once a year and sometimes twice a year depending on the year.  The cycle repeats every 28 years.

Pish Moon - celebrate nights when both moons are absent at the same time.  The cycle for this is every 28 years.

Singular Moon - celebrations on the night where one or the other moon is absent.

The celebrations can have different names assigned to them on a local basis as shown in the following table.
